Senior Process Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated, technically competent individual to focus on the continuous development of our feed production technology. The role will ultimately entail taking responsibility for implementation of best practice and continuous improvement in the manufacturing of salmon feeds. The working language will be English and the position will entail a significant amount of international travel. This position is based at our production facility in Bjugn, Norway. You will report to the Operations Director Europe, and will also work closely with the teams in R&D, Nutrition, Process, Logistics and Projects.
The position is an exciting opportunity to be part of a dynamic team working in the challenging and fast-moving area of salmon feed. Ultimately, you will be working alongside our experts in fish nutrition, raw material procurement, feed production and logistics. As part of this international team you will be manufacturing class-leading salmon feeds through the optimum use of raw materials and technologies sourced from around the globe. Simply put, your number one challenge will be to develop the best practices for feed manufacturing technology and implement them in a highly competitive manufacturing environment.
The ideal candidate should possess a good degree in feed or food technology combined with an MSc or a PhD in extrusion-based feed or food production. This should be combined with 3-5 years’ industrial experience. Experience from management or project management is desired. Experience in salmon feed production is an advantage. This is a ‘hands on role’ and the successful individual will be someone seeking to develop their own knowledge and expertise and apply it within an efficient and dynamic technical / industrial / commercial workplace.
