Scottish Sea Farms wish to recruit a proven and exceptionally talented Marine Farm Manager to manage and develop our new £3.3m marine salmon farm at Lober Rock, in the Scapa Flow region of the Orkney Islands.
Due to be stocked in September 2019, Lober Rock will be latest site to open in the Orkney Region with 12 x 80m pens. Scottish Sea Farms requires significant financial investment for this new site and we require your energy and vision to help shape our success. To be considered, candidates must already be a highly respected Marine Farm Manager within the aquaculture industry.  You should be able to demonstrate excellence in all aspects of fish husbandry including fish health and welfare, feeding optimisation, containment, infrastructure maintenance and skilled seamanship.  You will be open, honest and communicate with ease at all levels and, above all, you should be willing to share our commitment in developing a strong safety culture. Your ability to plan ahead will be matched by close attention to detail. It is essential to value our unique Orkney identity and have the skills to grow premium-quality differentiated salmon for customers with the highest expectations. Scottish Sea Farms Ltd Marine Farms Managers are expected to be industry leading - with competence in finance, budget control and planning, stock management, stakeholder interactions, personnel management and promotion of health and safety.  

Lober Rock will test and develop these skills; in return Scottish Sea Farms Ltd will offer an attractive salary package, company vehicle, pension support and production bonus. A relocation package will also be available.

A current driving licence is essential.
