New Marine Farm - Hunda, 
Scapa Flow Region, Orkney Islands

We are currently seeking to appoint a proven and exceptionally talented salmon farm manager to manage and develop our new £3.2m marine salmon farm at Hunda in the Scapa Flow region of the Orkney Islands.

Hunda will be Scottish Sea Farm’s latest new marine farm with 12 x 100m pens and is due to be stocked in April 2020. 
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in all aspects of fish husbandry including fish health and welfare, feeding optimisation, containment, infrastructure maintenance and skilled seamanship.

Scottish Sea Farms requires significant financial investment for this new farm, we will therefore require high energy, vision and creativity from the successful candidate to help shape our success.

To be considered for this position you must already be a highly respected marine farm manager within the aquaculture industry and be able to demonstrate your commitment to developing a strong safety culture. You’ll be open and honest and communicate effectively with ease at all levels. Your ability to plan ahead will be matched by your close attention to detail. It is essential that you value our unique Orkney identity and have the skills to grow premium-quality differentiated salmon for customers who have the highest expectations.

Scottish Sea Farms marine farm managers are already expected to be industry leading with competence in finance, budget control and planning, stock management, stakeholder interactions, people development, and promotion of health & safety.  Hunda will test and develop these skills.

A current driving licence is essential.
